Despite the fact that Virginia Tech's mascot is an over size turkey, I decided to come here after all. I looked into the Engineering Program at UVA, and just couldn't bring myself to be there, even though I did get in at both schools.
So now I am sitting in Newman Hall, the international dorm which isn't too international, and have been having a great time. And after the crazy summer of 2005, it's been nice to just be in one place for a while. I've got my car parked in the lot known as the cage here, and have only taken it out a few times since I've been here. My bike has been converted from a fun toy to a wonderful tool, and with the gas prices in the 3 buck range, I am happy to have given up the 30 minute drive to Charlottesville every day. I do miss the woods, living with my mexican amigos, and all my PVCC friends.
But now I am fully a Hokie, and with our football team undefeated and ranked #3 in the nation, I must say: Let's Go... Hokies!
